Elaine Poser

Elaine Poser is the Administrative Program Manager at the Arthur Carhart National Wilderness Training Center. Elaine came to the Center in 2001 and, since then, has pioneered national, interagency agreements and processes that have been replicated across the interagency Service First community. Elaine is passionately committed to efficiency, economy, effectiveness and improvement. She inspires perseverance through the increasing process requirements in budget, finance, contracting, grant and agreement, and personnel of all four wilderness managing agencies. Elaine is the glue that holds the Carhart Center together! Prior to joining the Carhart staff, Elaine worked as a Budget Analyst for the Rocky Mountain Research Station, Fort Collins, CO; as Budget Program Assistant for R1 Watershed, Wildlife, Fisheries and Rare Plants Staff, Missoula, MT; and, in Personnel for R1 Lewis and Clark National Forest, Great Falls, MT. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Montana and has graduate work in counseling and career guidance. She has also received training and certification in mediation.
